The partnership with CrashTech allowed to create a dedicated data acquisition, control and monitoring system of the “Megafan”, able to evaluate and manage in real time the necessary parameters for the complete classification of the fan.

Our fully integrated company network system allows:

  • Accessibility via wired and wireless connection.
  • Automatic data storage on company servers.
  • Accessibility to our technicians for just-in-time analysis.
  • System’s operational flexibility thanks to the remote connection.
  • Easy and “user-friendly” software interface, developed on the basis of direct feedback from users.

Thanks to this integrated approach, we are able to characterize the performance of the fan in an automated, rapid, objective and reproducible way.

The Megafan system is equipped with:

  • Anemometers for the precise measurement of the flow rate and calculation of the air flow.
  • Transducers positioned in specific areas of the test tower, for the measurement of static pressure that can be set at any specific value thanks to a dedicated louvers system.
  • Measurement of the absorbed power to the fan shaft.
  • Management software, developed on the basis of specific customer requests, able to acquire and process all the signals coming from the test tower as well as controlling the operating parameters of the fan.

Once the working conditions to be analysed have been defined, our operators launch the measurement procedure which independently acquires the parameters.

The versatility of the system allows for subsequent expansion possibilities for the acquisition of additional data or signals respecting specific requirements (e.g. stresses, deflections, etc.)

The Megafan activity carried out to date has already granted a significant increase in operational efficiency for the classification/analysis.

Further developments of the system are planned for the near future, exploiting the expandability categorization/grading of the hardware/software in order to accurately describe the distribution flow in specifically operating conditions.
